Estate Agents in Seaford. Final impressions? A great
day which all runners seemed to enjoy! The weather
of course helped make the day, but we were also
struck by the sense of community that the town
showed in helping make the day such a success. In
particular we would like to thank: Barwells Solicitors
for sponsoring the advertising; Beth Cook’s Seaford
for their delicious flapjacks; Colossus Scaffolding of
Hastings for the finish arch; Morrisons Supermarket
Seaford for refreshments; Newberry Tully for providing
and presenting the prizes; Rowland Gorringe for
sponsoring the banner advertisements; Seaford Bonfire
Society for marshals; Seaford Rugby Club for the use
of their clubhouse; Seaford Striders for marshals and
their much-appreciated participation in the event;
Seaford Youth Forum for handing out the medals;
Sainsbury’s Supermarket; Newhaven for water. Early
indications are that we have at least matched the
amount raised in previous years for the British
Heart Foundation.
Finally I must acknowledge the contributions of my
fellow Rotarians in Martello Rotary who carried out
the thousand and one jobs needed to make the day
such a success. In particular I’d like to acknowledge
Martin Baldwin, Marion Trew, Sylvia and Jim Lord,
Julian Newton-Turner and Diane White for their
contributions, without which the event simply would
not have happened. Thank you all.
