THINKING ABOUT COUNSELLING?
NOT SURE? IS IT FOR ME?
WHAT IS IT REALLY ALL ABOUT?
CAN YOU HELP ME?
We’re a friendly bunch and a busy little team here
at Seahaven therapy so give us a call or email us to
arrange an initial no cost session and we can take
it from there.
My details are on the opposite page and here are
the rest of the team.
Audrey Hodgkins (Dip. Counselling,
UKATA, NCS)
A fully qualified counsellor with
experience of working with adults
and young people supporting them
through anxiety, depression, anger
management, relationship issues,
loss, dementia and autism. Prior to
becoming a counsellor, I coached
and developed teams in a business environment. I
believe this helps me relate to clients and facilitate
those seeking to achieve a more balanced lifestyle in
today’s busy and pressured world. I provide a gentle,
empathic and non judgemental space for you to
explore and make the changes you want to.
Louise Tull (Bsc. Hons Human Nutrition
and Dietetics, UKATA,NCS)
I’m a trainee counsellor due
to become fully qualified in
September this year. I work with
clients who have a wide range of
concerns, including relationship
challenges, loss, loneliness, loss of
independence and ability, depression and anxiety. I’m
also a registered Dietitian, having worked in various
NHS Trusts since 2007. I have found that food is often
used as a way of suppressing or controlling emotions,
which can lead to unhealthy eating patterns, addiction
and ways of dealing with painful life events, such as
bereavement, abuse, and low self-esteem to name a
few. As a result I also work with people who would like
to explore their relationship with food.
Lyn Hayward (Dip. Counselling, MBACP
(Accred), MNCS (Snr. Accred), UKATA)
A qualified Counsellor and a trained
Bereavement Volunteer operating
my own private practice in Berwick
as well as at Seahaven Counselling
in Newhaven with Fleur. I’ve worked
in a busy medical practice for some
years have found that many issues
brought to counselling involve loss of some kind, which
usually involves the client feeling anxious. This can come
in many forms, it can involve losing a friendship, a family
pet, bereavement, a job, good health, a relationship,
control of eating/drinking, self esteem and confidence.
Julie Shepherd (Trainee Counsellor,
UKATA, NCS)
I am a trainee counsellor offering
a lower cost service in our
Seahaven practice. I have particular
experience of supporting people
affected by cancer in some way
which could be the patient
themselves with the diagnosis, their
partner, children, relatives etc. I also work with people
experiencing bereavement and loss, depression, anxiety,
OCD, low self-esteem, loss of purpose,
relationship issues and feeling ‘stuck’.
We look forward to meeting with you on the
10th August or please feel free to contact us:
