PAŠKO BILIĆ has an MA <strong>in</strong> sociology and history (University of Zagreb) and is<br />

employed at the Institute for International Relations, Zagreb (Department for Culture<br />

and Communication) as a research assistant. He is a doctoral student (<strong>in</strong>teruniversity<br />

doctoral course <strong>in</strong> Sociology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences,<br />

University of Zagreb), specializ<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the media and media policies.<br />

SEZGIN BOYNIK is sociologist based <strong>in</strong> Hels<strong>in</strong>ki. He is currently a doctoral<br />

researcher <strong>in</strong> Jyväskylä University Cultural Policy Department (SOVAKO) where<br />

he is work<strong>in</strong>g on the topic of “Cultural Politics of the ‘Black Wave’ <strong>in</strong> Yugoslavia<br />

from 1963 to 1972”. Previously he was work<strong>in</strong>g as lecturer at the Prisht<strong>in</strong>a University<br />

Turkology Department. He has published articles and monographs on the Situationist<br />

International, on ideologies of contemporary art, the punk movement and nationalism.<br />

MAJA BREZNIK is researcher at the Faculty for Social Sciences (University of<br />

Ljubljana) and a docent <strong>in</strong> sociology of culture. She is author and co-author of the<br />

follow<strong>in</strong>g books: Artisanry and Erudition. Th e Topography of Renaissance Th eatre<br />

(Koper/Capodistria, Annales, 2003), Cultural Revisionism (Ljubljana, Peace Institute,<br />

2004), Th e Book Culture (Ljubljana, UMco, 2005), Culture Ltd. (Ljubljana, Peace<br />

Institute, 2006) and Th e Culture of Danaian Gift s (Ljubljana, Sophia, 2009).<br />

VLADIMIR DAVČEV PhD, is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Sa<strong>in</strong>ts<br />

Cyril and Methodius <strong>in</strong> Skopje. In the years 2003 and 2004 he was president of the<br />

Philosophical Society of Macedonia. He has been the chief editor of the Annual of the<br />

Faculty of Philosophy for the period between 2008 and 2011. He was a member of the<br />

advisory board for the project “Th e Other <strong>in</strong> Teach<strong>in</strong>g Programs of Higher Education”.<br />

He is author of more than 40 published works and editor of the publication<br />

Research<strong>in</strong>g the Otherness – Aspects of Otherness Seen fr om the Perspectives of Specifi ed<br />

Discipl<strong>in</strong>es <strong>in</strong> Higher Education. His research specialities <strong>in</strong>clude the philosophy of<br />

m<strong>in</strong>d and the philosophy of technology.<br />
