Business<br />
Stockholm University School of Business belongs to<br />
Stockholm University. The University, which dates<br />
back to 1878, is a regional centre for research <strong>and</strong><br />
education, set in a wonderful cultural <strong>and</strong> natural<br />
environment in the world’s first national city park.<br />
The School of Business is responsible for educating<br />
business leaders <strong>and</strong> managers of the future in both<br />
the private <strong>and</strong> public sector. The school aims to<br />
develop the learning process in such a way that<br />
creative thinking <strong>and</strong> critical reasoning are the<br />
guiding principles for the entire study <strong>programme</strong>.<br />
Our courses are based on the latest research. Close<br />
contacts with the worlds of business <strong>and</strong> research,<br />
both at a national <strong>and</strong> international level, allow us to<br />
offer a transnational education.<br />
We have more than 3,500 students, around seventy<br />
lecturers/researchers, some fifty doctoral students<br />
<strong>and</strong> about thirty administrative staff. We collaborate<br />
closely with universities in Sweden <strong>and</strong> abroad.<br />
The School of Business is located in restored<br />
buildings dating back to 1912 in the traditional<br />
“Kräftriket”campus area, beauti<strong>full</strong>y located near the<br />
picturesque “Brunnsviken” lake. The area is within<br />
walking distance of Stockholm city centre, is easily<br />
accessible by public transportation <strong>and</strong> has plenty of<br />
parking facilities.<br />
