Wonders On The Wrist
Mark the end of the year with these timepieces that are sure to
dazzle and impress.
Like Second Skin
Piaget has launched the new Limelight Gala 32mm
Automatic; two of its models are adorned with gold
Milanese mesh bracelets that are reminiscent of bracelets
crafted in the 1950s. Each bracelet starts life as a gold bar,
which the artisan then works into tiny gold threads that
are twisted, weaved and squeezed by hand, taking over 35
hours to complete. The bracelet is perfectly integrated into
the case, giving the impression that it is a natural extension
of the asymmetrical lugs and the case of the watch. In
addition to the stunning aesthetic, the mesh bracelets are
extremely supple and comfortable on the wrist, feeling
almost like second skin.
The Spirit Of Travel
Thanks to the design of its dial and the endless
customisation offered by the palette of over 100
interchangeable straps, the Tambour Moon expresses
the spirit of travel with its GMT complication as well
as demonstrating Louis Vuitton’s fine craftsmanship and
creativity. Whatever the version – 35mm, 39.5mm or
44mm in diameter – travel and escapism beckon with this
Tambour Moon Dual Time. Admire the two-tone flange
connected to the day/night indicator for ease of reading,
as well as the Monogram Flowers or richly coloured flags.
Designed especially for the model, they all evoke Louis
Vuitton tradition, recalling the customised motifs on the
travellers’ trunks of yesteryear.
