Total employment in DeKalb County has fluctuated over the past 4 years. In 2007, employment<br />
increased by almost six percent, then remained relatively stable between 2008 <strong>and</strong> 2009, <strong>and</strong><br />
then decreased over five percent between 2009 <strong>and</strong> 2010 <strong>and</strong> subsequent 2.6 percent in 2010.<br />
Between 2008 <strong>and</strong> 2011 total employment has declined 8.6 percent. It should be noted that the<br />
above figures include Public Administration; monthly data for this industry was not available for<br />
2011, as illustrated in the table below.<br />
