Nature-<strong>in</strong>spired hyperrealist<br />
artist: explor<strong>in</strong>g metaphysics,<br />
spirituality, and <strong>in</strong>ner<br />
freedom<br />
“I believe that human be<strong>in</strong>gs must discover <strong>the</strong>ir <strong>in</strong>f<strong>in</strong>ite<br />
potential to connect with <strong>the</strong>ir wonderful <strong>in</strong>ner world<br />
and understand that despite external differences, deep<br />
down we are one,” says Kotarska.<br />

Agnieszka Kotarska, born <strong>in</strong> 1984 <strong>in</strong><br />
Poland, is an artist whose love for<br />
nature began at an early age and has<br />
s<strong>in</strong>ce become a central <strong>the</strong>me <strong>in</strong> her<br />
art. She spent her childhood surrounded by<br />
nature, which helped shape her creative <strong>in</strong>st<strong>in</strong>cts<br />
and passion for draw<strong>in</strong>g. After graduat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong><br />
Hispanic Philology <strong>in</strong> Łódz, she moved to<br />
Spa<strong>in</strong>, where she currently lives and works.<br />
Although self-taught, Kotarska has recently<br />
studied under <strong>the</strong> renowned hyperrealism<br />
artist, Emanuele Dascanio, who has greatly<br />
<strong>in</strong>fluenced her artistic technique. She primarily<br />
works with graphite and charcoal, which have<br />
become her ma<strong>in</strong> mediums.<br />
Kotarska’s art blends figurative realism<br />
with fantasy, symbolism, and mystery. She is<br />
drawn to <strong>the</strong>mes of metaphysics, spirituality,<br />
transcendence, and <strong>in</strong>ner freedom, which she<br />
has explored s<strong>in</strong>ce childhood. She practices<br />
<strong>in</strong>trospection and meditation as part of her<br />
daily rout<strong>in</strong>e, and her passion for travel has<br />
led her to explore many different cultures and<br />
cont<strong>in</strong>ents. She has undertaken spiritual retreats<br />
<strong>in</strong> several Eastern countries, always carry<strong>in</strong>g<br />
pencil and paper with her.<br />
“I believe that human be<strong>in</strong>gs must discover<br />

one,” says Kotarska. Her work has been featured<br />
<strong>in</strong> art books and magaz<strong>in</strong>es and exhibited <strong>in</strong><br />
<strong>in</strong>ternational galleries and museums. In 2022,<br />
she won <strong>the</strong> FWSD Award <strong>in</strong> ARC Salon and<br />
was a f<strong>in</strong>alist <strong>in</strong> ModPortrait and ARC Salon.<br />
