Dasha Vong: Explor<strong>in</strong>g empathy and spirit<br />
through color<br />

Dasha Vong is a student of <strong>the</strong><br />
renowned Russian artist Borisova<br />
Anna Vladimirovna, who has<br />
completed her studies at <strong>the</strong><br />
Russian Academy of Pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g, Sculpture<br />
and Architecture Ilya Glazunov. She has<br />
been exposed to various styles of pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g<br />
<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g realism, impressionism, po<strong>in</strong>tillism,<br />
and Russian abstract expressionism, hav<strong>in</strong>g<br />
been taught by Constant<strong>in</strong>e Inal-Ipa, a<br />
member of <strong>the</strong> UNESCO Union of Artists<br />
<strong>in</strong> 1996 and a professional union of artists<br />
<strong>in</strong> 2007.<br />
Dasha Vong has participated <strong>in</strong> several<br />
Moscow exhibitions, and her pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>gs are <strong>in</strong><br />
private collections <strong>in</strong> Moscow and <strong>the</strong> UAE.<br />
Her artistic journey began with restor<strong>in</strong>g<br />
antique furniture where she discovered<br />
her love for colors. Five years ago, she<br />
started explor<strong>in</strong>g fluid art, followed by<br />
realism and po<strong>in</strong>tillism, and now she works<br />
<strong>in</strong> abstraction. The pandemic provided her<br />
with <strong>the</strong> opportunity to delve deeper <strong>in</strong>to<br />
her passion for art.<br />
Dasha Vong believes that stories heal<br />
<strong>the</strong> soul, whe<strong>the</strong>r expressed through music,<br />
text, or color. Her artwork is empa<strong>the</strong>tic and<br />
possesses a spirit that resonates with <strong>the</strong><br />
viewer. If one can connect with her work,<br />
<strong>the</strong>n she has successfully conveyed a<br />
story that <strong>the</strong>y can relate to, and <strong>the</strong>y will<br />
no longer feel alone. She expresses pure<br />
emotion on her canvas and is unafraid of<br />
be<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>comprehensible and different. Her<br />
goal is to f<strong>in</strong>d her path to harmony, blend<strong>in</strong>g<br />
retro and modern elements, as she believes<br />
our emotions are connected to <strong>the</strong> past.<br />
Dasha Vong’s preferred medium is oil,<br />
and she draws <strong>in</strong>spiration from <strong>the</strong> works<br />
of Gerhard Richter and Grace Hartigan.<br />
