Jameel Arts Centre - An Ocean in Every Drop exhibition
This exhibition focuses on the importance of water, and how it is a force that “produces history, culture, language and social relations”.
Water sustains trade, offers a means of escape, is a source of life and is celebrated by cultures from the ancient Greeks and Egyptians,
to indigenous North Americans. It explores the threats – droughts, floods, and rising sea levels. Work comes from Jumana Emil Abboud,
al-Istakhri, Martha Atienza, Raven Chacon, Cian Dayrit, Léuli Eshrāghi, Asunción Molinos Gordo, Abul Hisham, Candice Hopkins, Sohrab
Hura, Hussein Nassereddine, Thảo Nguyên-Phan, Daniel Otero Torres, Karan Shrestha, Fatima Uzdenova and Munem Wasif and the
exhibition runs until April 2023.

Jameel Arts Centre - Sara Sadik: They will end up in ravines
Artist Sara Sadik uses video games, science fiction, everyday life and French rap music to write coming-of-age stories. Her video works
stage young men facing challenges and striving to achieve moral and physical transformation. Her multi-screen installation Ils finiront dans
des ravins (They will end up in ravines) is inspired by video gaming arenas. Over a series of game-like missions, the protagonists invent
their ideal society and devise ways to protect their environment. Through their words, which reveal their hopes and anxieties, Sara Sadik
reflects on systems of coercion while depicting how self-love and community love invigorate resistance to oppression and social exclusion.
