Dubai Design Week
Dubai Design Week is an annual event that
was first launched in 2015, and since then it
has become the largest creative festival in the
Middle East. The festival attracts a large number
of visitors from around the world, including
designers, artists, architects, entrepreneurs,
and creative enthusiasts. The festival features a
diverse range of exhibitions, installations, talks,
workshops, and competitions that showcase
the latest design trends and innovations from
the region and beyond. The festival is held
in partnership with Dubai Design District, a
hub for design and innovation in the UAE. The
event is under the patronage of Her Highness
Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al
Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture & Arts
Authority, and it is organized by the Dubai
Design and Fashion Council.
Dubai Design Week provides a unique
opportunity for emerging designers to
showcase their work and connect with industry
professionals. The event features the region’s
premier design fair, Downtown Design, which
showcases high-end contemporary design
products from around the world. The fair attracts
a large number of exhibitors and visitors, and
it provides a platform for design businesses to
connect with buyers, architects, and interior
designers. In addition to the fair, Dubai
Design Week features a range of exhibitions,
installations, and pop-up shops that showcase
the latest design trends and innovations. The
event also includes the Global Grad Show, which
is the world’s largest gathering of graduate
design projects. The show features innovative
projects from over 150 universities and design
schools from around the world, providing a
unique platform for emerging talent to showcase
their work. Dubai Design Week also features a
diverse range of talks, workshops, and panel
discussions that cover a wide range of topics.
Live Our Heritage
Live Our Heritage is a popular cultural event
that has been running for several years and
attracts visitors from all over the world. The
festival takes place in Dubai’s Global Village, one
of the most prominent cultural destinations in the
city. The event celebrates Emirati heritage and
culture, showcasing the country’s rich history
and traditions. The festival is organized by
Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and runs for
six months, starting from October until April
of the following year.
Live Our Heritage offers visitors a wide range
of events and activities that promote local
handicrafts and traditional Emirati art forms.
The festival aims to educate the community
about the cultural, social, and economic
significance of the Emirati crafts sector, and
to encourage the preservation of Emirati
heritage. Visitors can participate in workshops
and demonstrations of traditional handicrafts
such as weaving, pottery, and embroidery,
and learn about the history and significance
of these crafts. The festival also features a
variety of entertainment activities inspired by
Emirati culture, including national folk songs,
dance performances, and traditional music.

traditional Emirati dishes such as Machboos,
Harees, and Luqaimat. The festival offers a
fun and festive atmosphere that is suitable
for families and people of all ages. Live Our
Heritage has been growing in popularity over
the years, with an increasing number of visitors
attending the festival each year. The event
attracts both local and international visitors.
