Paris & Normandy Memorable Trip<br />

Over the 35+ years we’ve been in the travel<br />
business, one of the reoccurring trips we plan<br />
for our clients are “big personal event” trips. It<br />
might be a big birthday trip, a round<br />
number (think 60, 70 or 80 years old), or a grandchild’s<br />
birthday, (first communion or Bar/<br />
Bat Mitzvah) trip.<br />
Travel and big family events go<br />
hand in hand.<br />
As I approach my 70 th birthday,<br />
that’s exactly what I’m planning<br />
right now. In addition, I want to check off one of<br />
my bucket list travel destinations. I am currently<br />
researching a personal trip that will include a visit to<br />
Normandy and the World War II D-Day beaches in France.<br />
I always wanted to visit this area for two reasons. First, I was a history<br />
major in college with a focus on modern American History. I am a<br />
World War II history “nerd.”<br />
Second, and most important, my Dad was a World War II European<br />
Army Vet. He served from January 4, 1944, until the end of the War.<br />
He served in France and entered Europe through the port of Le Havre,<br />
in early 1945. To walk in his “Army” footsteps would be a memorable<br />
experience.<br />
One of the best ways to accomplish this “Bucket List” trip is by a River<br />
