Sommers is a South Florida treasure with a “powerhouse” voice”
(The New York Times) and a charismatic stage presence. She appeared
on Broadway in Ain’t Misbehavin’ replacing Nell Carter,
Chicago, Showboat, Broadway, and Platinum; and was in the first
national tours of both The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (starring
Ann-Margret) and Chicago, for which she won a Los Angles Ovation
Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Art & Jazz On The Avenue In
Downtown Delray Beach
The Downtown Development Authority, in partnership with the
Downtown Merchant and Business Association, is hosting Art
& Jazz on the Avenue on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 6p.m. to
9:30 p.m. in downtown Delray Beach. Stroll the Ave neighborhood
on East Atlantic Avenue from Swinton to NE/SE 5th Avenue in a
closed street-style format, experience live musical entertainment
on two stages, live art activations, interactive kids’ zone, and dancing
and dining in the street! Plus, shop local, curated vendors and
businesses.
Shark and Stingray Feeding - Tuesday-Sunday at 1pm
Come join us for a splashing good time! Sandoway hosts a daily
shark and stingray feeding, in the centers newly renovated shark
tank and stingray touch tank! Learn lots of fun and interesting facts
