Something for Everyone
in Delray Beach
Star SPAngled Celebrations at our
Annual 4th of July Event
Grab your most festive red, white, and blue attire, and join us
to celebrate the 4th of July! Our family-friendly event has been
held for over 50 years and draws 80,000 people annually to Delray
Beach. On Tuesday, July 4, 2023, the event will kick off at 5 p.m. on
East Atlantic Avenue from the Intracoastal Bridge to A1A and conclude
with a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
Don’t miss the flag-raising ceremony, honor guard, cheeseburger-eating
contests, games, and vendors. There will also be a DJ and
live music performances. While parking is available west of the
bridge, it’s a wonderful opportunity to walk over, ride your bike, or
grab a ride on the FreeBee, our shuttle service.
Accessibility Matters
This year marks the
33rd anniversary of the
Americans with Disabilities
Act (ADA) being
signed into law. The Act
ensures equal access to
information and resources
for people with different
abilities. I’m proud
of our diversity here in
Delray Beach, and we
remain committed to enhancing
our accessibility.
Our 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Program identifies multiple
areas in the city that will be getting updated roadways, ramps, or
sidewalks to make them more accessible. Our city’s website also
has many accessibility features for those who use screen readers.
These are just a few examples of our commitment to ensuring
Delray Beach remains accessible to everyone who wants to live,
work, and play here.
