appear family and psychological problems. That is why refugees <strong>of</strong>ten suffer from asthma,<br />
epilepsy; there appears the problem with home violence; scandals and quarrels increase"<br />
(interview No. 37).<br />
6.3. Conclusions<br />
In the field <strong>of</strong> integration policies, a series <strong>of</strong> programmes had been developed oriented<br />
to the integration <strong>of</strong> returning highly qualified emigrants as well as to preventing lowqualified<br />
e<strong>migration</strong>. This process should continue.<br />
More efforts shall be invested in developing programmes for better integration <strong>of</strong><br />
immigrants and refugees, including programmes for learning the <strong>Bulgaria</strong>n language.<br />
More events need to be organised, presenting the specific culture <strong>of</strong> immigrants to the<br />
<strong>Bulgaria</strong>n public and, at the same time, more active monitoring <strong>of</strong> the actual defence <strong>of</strong><br />
their rights shall be instituted.
