It is generally recommended to pick off the<br />
differential-pressure directly at the pump<br />
and to maintain it there at a constant level.<br />
An alternative would be to install the signal<br />
transmitter in the heating system as a<br />
remote signal transmitter in the so-called<br />
index circuit of the system (control-range<br />
extension). Operation with a remote signal<br />
transmitter will partly allow much larger<br />
speed reductions and thus pump performance<br />
reductions. It is essential in this<br />
respect that the selected measuring point<br />
be valid for the consumption performance<br />
of all the system sections.<br />
Where this calculated measuring point in<br />
the index circuit may be subject to shifting<br />
to other parts of the pipe system, optimisation<br />
by means of the Wilo DDG impulse<br />
selector is preferable. Measuring points<br />
ranging from 2 to 4 can be compared on a<br />
continuous basis. Only the lowest measured<br />
value forms the basis for the setpoint /<br />
actual value comparison by the CR controller.<br />
