The 10-logarithm (base 10) of x. The function is only defined if x > 0. The result is a number.<br />

sqrt(x )<br />

Square root of x. The function is only defined if x >= 0. The result is a positive number.<br />

sqr (x )<br />

Square of x. The result is a number.<br />

pow(x,y )<br />

Returns x to the power of y. The result is a number.<br />

Trigonometric and Hyperbolic Functions<br />

In the functions below, the parameters are expressions where x should be interpreted as a real valued number.<br />

All angles are measured in radians.<br />

cos( x )<br />

Cosine of x. The result is a number between -1 and 1.<br />

acos(x )<br />

Arcus cosine of x. The function is only defined if -1 ≤ x ≤ 1. The result is a number between 0 and p.<br />

sin(x )<br />

Sine of x. The result is a number between -1 and 1.<br />

asin(x )<br />

Arcus sine of x. The function is only defined if -1 ≤ x ≤ 1. The result is a number between - p/2 and p/2.<br />

tan( x )<br />

Tangent of x. The result is a number.<br />

atan(x )<br />

Arcus tangent of x. The result is a number between - p/2 and p/2.<br />

atan2( y,x )<br />

Two-dimensional generalization of the arcus tangent function. Returns the angle between the origin and the<br />

point represented by the coordinates x and y. The result is a number between - p and + p.<br />

cosh(x )<br />

Cosine hyberbolicus of x. The result is a positive number.<br />

sinh(x )<br />

Sine hyberbolicus of x. The result is a number.<br />

tanh(x )<br />

Tangent hyberbolicus of x. The result is a number.<br />
