5.5 Power Supply<br />

The power supply is located on the right side when the <strong>SDM</strong>-<strong>8400</strong> unit is viewed from the<br />

rear (see Figure 5-1).<br />

NOTE: For information about the factory-supplied power cable and connection to the<br />

power source, turn to “Connecting to the Power Source” on page 4-5.<br />

• AC power inlet (IEC 320)<br />

• Voltage: Autosensing 100-240 VAC<br />

• Frequency: 50/60 Hz<br />

• Current: 0.7 A at 100 V and 0.4 A at 240 V<br />

• Maximum power consumption: 16 Watts (55 BTU/hour)<br />

• Removable power cord (North American or Schuko European type).<br />

NOTE: There is no power switch. Remove the power cord to turn the unit off.<br />

Warning: Do not remove the cover of the <strong>SDM</strong>-<strong>8400</strong>. The <strong>SDM</strong>-<strong>8400</strong> unit<br />

contains no user-serviceable parts. Only a qualified technician approved by<br />

Memotec is authorized to open the unit.<br />
