"Doc Denz" is trying hard to fill the aching void
made by the departure of Doc. Kennedy, and
though Denzer is not a singer nor has he a mustache
like his predecessor, still nobody has it on
him in football sense. He is fearless, a hard and
sure tackier, a speedy man with the ball and a
good dodger. It is to be regretted that his course
as a Medic gives him such little time to practice
with the team, as he has the making of a star of
the first magnitude in him.
PALMER, first-year man; End; Co-op. "Tummydoodles,"
as the given appellation is correctly pronounced,
was by far the most spectacular end on
the team this year. His offensive work was particularly
clever, it being quite the usual thing to
see him pluck the proffered pellet (alias forward
pass) from the atmosphere while it was being
sought by the hands of the greedy opponents; and
make-away therewith. "Tunk" is a speedy and
clever runner, and a forward pass to him ahvays
looked like a good bet. His tackling was a little
erratic and was really one of the weakest spots of
his playing. However, he is a hard and earnest
worker and one of whom much can be expected.

MORRIS, first-year man; Co-op; Tackle. Joey
came to us last year a greener in the art of blocking
and breaking through. Though he Avas an
athlete of aquarian fame he had never donned
football togs before. However, he worked hard
and intelligenth' and toward the close of the season
was classed among the best line men on the
team. Give Joe a better knoAvledge of the finer
points of the game and with the grit that is already
his he would be more than a fit candidate for the
All-Ohio team. If 'Varsitj' had more conscientious
athletes such as "Amphibious ,loc," U. C. would
be able to boast of a higher athletic position.
