1.12. Distribution System Piping. The restrained joint distribution system
pipelines shall be paid for on a unit price basis and shall be measured for payment
the same as transmission pipelines (Item 2.3).
The length of distribution system piping on the bid form is less than the stationed
length because the length of pipe for the pressure reducing vaults is not included.
1.12.1. Serena Spur (Transmission Line Station 94+32), 12 Inch Pipe, Station
0+00 to Station 7+45±. The unit price bid for this item is for 12 inch restrained
joint ductile iron pipe, all fittings, restrained joints, couplings, tapping sleeves,
gate valves, all appurtenances are included.
1.12.2. Hidden Point Spur (Transmission Line Station 139+07), 12 Inch Pipe,
Station 0+00 to Station 3+35±. The unit price bid for this item is for 12 inch
restrained joint ductile iron pipe all fittings, restrained joints, couplings, tapping
sleeves, gate valves, all appurtenances are included.
1.12.3. Monarch Spur (Transmission Line Station 178+16), 16 Inch Pipe, Station
0+00 to Station 7+92±. The unit price bid for this item is for 16 inch restrained
joint ductile iron pipe all fittings, restrained joints, couplings, tapping sleeves,
butterfly valves, all appurtenances are included.
1.12.4. Monarch Spur, 8 Inch Pipe, Well Inter-connection. The unit price bid for
this item is for 8 inch restrained joint ductile iron pipe and all fittings, restrained
joints, couplings, tapping sleeves, gate valves, reducer, and all appurtenances
are included.
1.12.5. Monarch between Station 13+00 to Station 18+00±. The unit price for
demolition, removal, disposal and replacement of existing 12” waterline
consisting of Asbestos Cement Pipe with replacement of restrained joint Ductile
Iron Pipe, all connection fittings and all associated work.
1.13. Trench Plugs. The unit price bid for trench plugs is for the preparation
of the key cutoff excavation and furnishing and installing flowable fill for trench
plugs around the pipe.
1.14. Connection to Existing Piping. The following items shall be paid for at a
lump sum bid price and shall include all excavation and backfill not paid for as
trenching for pipe, site grading, dewatering, sheeting, shoring, pipe, fittings,
adapters, restraint valves and appurtenances complete as detailed on the
drawings, existing pipe removal, pipe embedment, temporary bypass, testing,
and disinfection.
