All costs involved in repairing or removal and replacement of existing asphalt
where damaged during the construction operations, shall be considered a
subsidiary obligation of Contractor and shall be borne by Contractor.
3. FLOWABLE FILL (CLSM). The unit price bid for flowable fill (CLSM) shall
include backfilling trench above the embedment with flowable fill as specified and
shown on the drawings.
4. TRENCH STABILIZATION MATERIAL. The unit price bid for trench
stabilization material shall include the excavation and disposal of the unsuitable
material as directed by District Representative, and cost for furnishing, installing,
and compacting rock for trench stabilization. Approved material used to stabilize
the subgrade shall be measured for payment by the ton as evidenced by weight
tickets for each truckload or fraction thereof.
5. TRAFFIC CONTROL AND SIGNAGE. The lump sum price bid for traffic
control and signage shall include the development of all required traffic control
plans and signage, the implementation and maintenance of all traffic control
devices and procedures, and providing personnel for flagging operations when
required.
6. GRADING, EROSION, AND SEDIMENT CONTROL (GESC). The unit price
bid items for GESC’s shall include costs for planning, permitting, installation, and
maintenance of an erosion control system for the Transmission and Distribution
System pipelines. The cost shall also include maintenance of the erosion control
system for the duration of the project.
6.1. Erosion Control Blanket. The unit price bid for this item shall be for
installing along the pipeline alignment as shown on the drawings. Cost shall
include all required appurtenances from the general GESC details and
specifications.
6.2. Inlet Protection. The unit price bid for this item shall be for installing along
the pipeline alignment as shown on the drawings. Cost shall include all required
appurtenances from the general GESC details and specifications.
6.3. Reinforced Rock Berm. The unit price bid for this item shall be for installing
along the pipeline alignment as shown on the drawings. Cost shall include all
required appurtenances from the general GESC details and specifications.
6.4. RRB for Culvert Protection. The unit price bid for this item shall be for
installing along the pipeline alignment as shown on the drawings. Cost shall
include all required appurtenances from the general GESC details and
specifications.
