The Sunny Island is a battery
inverter and is able to set up a stable
stand-alone grid. It constantly holds
the voltage and frequency of the AC
grid within the allowable limits.
Stand-alone grids using the Sunny
Island 2012, 2224 or 5048 can be
expanded without difficulty through
the parallel connection of several
devices – single-phase as well as
three-phase. For systems with more
than 15 kW, three Sunny Island
inverters and a battery are combined
in a cluster. To achieve the total
power desired, several of these clus-
ters can be connected in parallel.
The advantage – even if one battery
fails, only one part of the system is
affected. The stand-alone grid supply
is extremely secure and reliable.

réseaux autarciques. Il maintient
en permanence le voltage et la
fréquence du réseau CA dans les
limites autorisées.
Il est possible d’étendre facilement
les réseaux autarciques utilisant
les modèles Sunny Island 2012, 2224
ou 5048, en reliant plusieurs
appareils en parallèle, qu’ils soient
biphasés ou triphasés. Pour les
systèmes nécessitant une capacité
supérieure à 15 kW, il suffit de
regrouper trois Sunny Island et une
batterie dans un groupe électrogène.

batterie venait à être défectueuse,
de n’affecter qu’une partie du
