LE THEATRE D’APHRODISIAS, ESPACE CIVIQUE ET IDENTITAIRE<br />

Résumé : En tant que cité grecque, Aphrodisias a construit son théâtre au début de la période augustéenne, utilisée<br />
en tant qu'ekk<strong>le</strong>siasterion pour <strong>le</strong>s assemblées publiques de la politeia. Le corpus épigraphique retrouvé dans <strong>le</strong><br />
théâtre, comparé à quelques éléments architecturaux du monument aident à comprendre son rô<strong>le</strong> politique et<br />
civique, particulièrement en tant que mémorial de l'histoire et l'identité de la vil<strong>le</strong>.<br />

Abstract: As an Hel<strong>le</strong>nic city, Aphrodisias has built in the early Augustan age his theatre, used as ekk<strong>le</strong>siasterion for<br />
the public assemblies of the politeia. The epigraphic corpus found in the theatre compared with some architectural<br />
features of the monument help to understand his political and civic ro<strong>le</strong>, particularly as memorial of the history<br />
and identity of the city.<br />
