3.4.2 General Picture (Vi<strong>de</strong>o) Adjustment for an AV Source<br />

The directions below apply to all AV sources except OPTIMUM and DYNAMIC. If the viewing option is OPTIMUM,<br />

your flat panel TV automatically adjusts the picture to the best possible level. If the preferred viewing option is<br />

DYNAMIC, please refer to “4.1 Choose an AV Option (Vi<strong>de</strong>o, Game, <strong>et</strong>c.).” For standard picture adjustments, follow<br />

the steps below.<br />

1 ) Access the Picture through the S<strong>et</strong>up.<br />

2 ) Select an item to be adjusted.<br />

Contrast is used in the example below.<br />

Reduce Noise from Analog TV<br />

Som<strong>et</strong>imes electronic signal static can cause imperfections in the picture. This static is called Vi<strong>de</strong>o Noise. Your<br />

flat panel TV can reduce vi<strong>de</strong>o noise from an analog TV channel, <strong>de</strong>pending on the broadcast signal level.<br />

Som<strong>et</strong>imes the broadcast signal has higher interference levels so that some vi<strong>de</strong>o noise is noticeable.<br />

This function is only selectable for signals from an antenna. Follow the steps below to reduce noise on an analog<br />

TV channel.<br />

1 ) Access the System S<strong>et</strong>up through the S<strong>et</strong>up.<br />

2 ) Select Analog TV S<strong>et</strong>up from the System S<strong>et</strong>up menu.<br />

3 ) Select Manual Adjust from the submenu.<br />

Only analog channels s<strong>et</strong> using Auto Installation are manually adjustable.<br />

4 ) Select Program Entry.<br />

5 ) Select a channel number to be ad<strong>de</strong>d.<br />

Use the arrow buttons (/) to enter a channel number.<br />

6 ) Select Tuner NR.<br />

7 ) Select On.<br />

The <strong>de</strong>fault s<strong>et</strong>ting is On.<br />

8 ) Press HOME MENU to exit the menu.<br />
