Der botanische Garten vom Schloß Vauville
bekam 2004 den Preis "Jardin Remarquable“.Der
Garten erstreckt sich über 4 ha nahe am Meer und
zählt mehr als 900 Pflanzen aus der Südhemisphäre.
Rund um das Schloß von Vauville – ein
echtes Kleinod der Architektur des Cotentin –
entdecken Sie verschiedene grüne Bereiche, deren
subtropische Stimmung Sie überraschen wird.
The botanical garden of the Château de
Vauville. The botanical garden of the Château de
Vauville, classified as an "Exceptional Garden" in
2004, covers nearly 10 acres and includes over 900
species from the southern hemisphere. The garden
surrounds the Château de Vauville, itself one of the
jewels of Cotentin architecture, and is full of verdant
hollows where the surprising sub-tropical atmosphere,
so close to the sea, is a constant delight.
Le Parc du Château de Nacqueville C2
This magnificent romantic park in the English
style was created in 1830 to fulfil Hippolyte de
Tocqueville's dream to inhabit "one of the loveliest
places in the world", according to his brother Alexis.
Equipped with waterfalls, flowered fountains and a
river which winds its way across the estate, as well
as a view of the sea. The park provides a magnificent
setting for the 16th century granite castle with
stone roofing, amidst the colourful azaleas and
rhododendrons.
De botanische tuin van het kasteel van
Vauville staan sinds 1992 ingeschreven op de
aanvullende inventarislijst van historische monumenten,
en is in 2004 geklasseerd als « opmerkelijke
tuin». Strekt zich uit over 4ha, en telt meer dan 900
soorten van het zuidelijk halfrond. Deze verbazingwekkende
subtropische tuin over zee is onderverdeeld
in kleinere tuintjes.
Open from 31 st march to 28 th october. From 2 pm to 6 pm, and in
the morning for groups.

Der Park vom Nacqueviller Schloss wurde
1830 dank Hippolyte de Tocqueville geschaffen.
Neben Wasserfällen, blumenreichen Brunnen und
einem Bach, bietet der romantische und englische
Park auch eine Sicht aufs Meer. Dieser Garten,
Königreich von Azaleen und Rhododendron ist eine
Perle aus dem 16. Jahrhundert. Das Dach des
Schlosses ist aus Granitsteinplatten.

Dit prachtige, romantische Engelse park is in 1830
aangelegd op initiatief van Hippolyte de Tocqueville,
die hier volgens zijn broer Alexis "een van de
mooiste plekjes op aarde» gecreëerd heeft. Watervallen,
bloemrijke fonteinen, een kronkelende rivier
verfraaien het landgoed, dat uitzicht biedt op de zee.
Azalea’s en rododendrons overheersen in deze tuin,
grenzend aan een kasteel uit de 16de eeuw, opgetrokken
uit graniet met stenen dak.
