Ab <strong>de</strong>r zweiten Hälfte <strong>de</strong>s 19. Jahrhun<strong>de</strong>rts<br />
wur<strong>de</strong> ein reichhaltiges Eisenerz abgebaut. Das<br />
Bergwerk liegt in 150 m Tiefe unter <strong>de</strong>m Meer. Trotz<br />
<strong>de</strong>r Qualität und <strong>de</strong>s hohen Eisengehalts wur<strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong>r<br />
Abbau 1962 eingestellt. Sie können die Geschichte<br />
dieser Bergleute im Bergwerksmuseum ent<strong>de</strong>cken.<br />
Mining Museum.Rich iron ore was extracted<br />
from the Diélette mine between the mid 19th century<br />
and 1962. Its galleries were dug several hundred<br />
metres un<strong>de</strong>r the sea, and produced high quality<br />
ore. The Musée <strong>de</strong> la Mine tells the history of the<br />
mine and the stories of the miners.<br />
Mijnmuseum. Uit <strong>de</strong> mijn van Diélette is 100<br />
jaar lang ijzererts ontgonnen. De gangen bevon<strong>de</strong>n<br />
zich op een diepte van hon<strong>de</strong>r<strong>de</strong>n meters on<strong>de</strong>r <strong>de</strong><br />
zee. Ondanks <strong>de</strong> kwaliteit en het hoge ijzergehalte,<br />
werd in 1962 met <strong>de</strong> ontginning van ijzererts<br />
gestopt. Dit avontuur, en <strong>de</strong> geschie<strong>de</strong>nis van <strong>de</strong><br />
mijnwerkers wordt u verteld in het Mijnmuseum.<br />
