Alfa Laval was founded in 1883
when the great inventor Gustav de
Laval and the first continuous separator
laid the foundation of today’s
large international group. Today, Alfa
Laval is a world leader within heat
transfer, separation, and fluid handling
technologies. With more than
3000 patents, Alfa Laval focuses on
innovation and product development
for treating water, reducing carbon
emissions and minimizing water and
energy consumption.

Middle East, shared that the company
has been involved in the marine
industry since 1917. This was the
year when the U.S. Navy approached
Alfa Laval looking for a solution
to the difficulties caused by water
emulsions in lube oil on vessels driven
by steam turbines. Afterwards,
Alfa Laval delivered the first marine
separator of its kind to the U.S. Navy.
The company continued to deliver a
wide range of products and services
that empower the maritime industry
with offerings for energy efficiency,
engine protection and compliance.
Choudhary added, “We are qualified
to manufacture all the needed
equipment in the engine room excluding
the engine itself. From dry
dock to harbor to open sea, we offer
a variety of proven equipment, solving
the most critical operations. We
spent decades working with shipyards,
ship owners, and ship operators
to optimize vessel performance.”
