اإلمارات تفوز برئاسة رابطة المرأة<br />
العربية في المنظمة البحرية لدولية<br />
Eng. Hessa Al Malek, Executive Director of Maritime<br />
Transport for the Federal Transport Authority – Land<br />
and Maritime (FTA), has been selected as President of<br />
the Arab Women in Maritime Association (AWIMA) that<br />
is a part of the International Maritime Organization. As<br />
part of the UAE delegation, Al Malek’s role will entail<br />
strengthening the effectiveness of female contribution<br />
in the maritime sector through supervision of committee<br />
and implementation of strategies and action plans. As<br />
the first female in the UAE to hold such an esteemed<br />
position, Al Malek’s appointment of president in AWIMA<br />
further builds on an already impressive career resume.<br />
Al Malek stated, “I am honored to receive this designation<br />
and I look forward to effective collaboration in ensuring<br />
the presence of Arab women in maritime prospers.<br />
With the global maritime sector being made up of only<br />
2% of females, balancing the gender scales is a lofty task<br />
but one that I am excited to work on achieving. Our mission<br />
is to increase employment opportunities for Arab<br />
women at senior management levels of the relevant maritime<br />
transport sectors, develop partnerships and collaborate<br />
with national maritime administrations, regional entities,<br />
United Nations agencies and the private sector. We<br />
also aim to reinforce women’s engagement in the maritime<br />
sector.”<br />
ضمن اجتماع رابطة المرأة العربية يف المنظمة البحرية الدولية<br />
)AWIMA( والتي تعد جزءاً من المنظمة البحرية الدولية، تم اختيار<br />
المهندسة حصة المالك، المديرة التنفيذية للقطاع البحري يف الهيئة<br />
االتحادية للمواصالت البرية والبحرية بدولة اإلمارات، كي تصبح<br />
رئيسة للرابطة ضمن وفد دولة اإلمارات العربية المتحدة، وسوف<br />
تتوىل المالك من خالل هذا المنصب مهمة تعزيز مساهمة المرأة يف<br />
القطاع المالحي من خالل اإلشراف على الرابطة وتنفيذ االستراتيجيات<br />
وخطط العمل. وتعتبر المالك أول سيدة يف دولة اإلمارات العربية<br />
المتحدة تشغل هذا المنصب الرفيع، وقد نالت المالك الثقة لتعيينها<br />
يف هذا المنصب لما تمتلكه يف سيرتها الذاتية من خبرات ومسيرة<br />
مهنية مليئة باإلنجازات الكبرى يف المجال البحري.<br />
وبهذه المناسبة صرحت المالك قائلة: "يشرفني أن أنال الثقة<br />
لشغل هذا المنصب، وسأسعى بشدة إىل ضمان تفعيل دور المرأة<br />
العربية يف المالحة. نظراً للنسبة الضئيلة يف عدد النساء اللوايت<br />
يعملن يف القطاع المالحي العالمي؛ حيث تبلغ 2٪ فقط، وتعتبر<br />
عملية التوازن بين الجنسين مهمة سامية ورفيعة، وأتطلع بحماسة<br />
للمساهمة يف تحقيقها. ويكمن دورنا يف زيادة فرص العمل للمرأة<br />
العربية لشغل المناصب اإلدارية العليا يف قطاع النقل البحري،<br />
وتطوير الشراكات والتعاون مع اإلدارات المالحية الوطنية، والكيانات<br />
اإلقليمية، ووكاالت األمم المتحدة والقطاعات الخاصة. كما نهدف<br />
إىل تعزيز مشاركة المرأة يف القطاع المالحي".<br />
