Marasi News Remarkable Achievements
Effat Mostafa selected as AWIMA Marketing and
Communication Officer
An International Maritime Organization
(IMO) driven initiative, in cooperation
with the Ministry of Transport,
Maritime Transport Sector and
the Arab Academy for Science, Technology
and Maritime Transport, the
Arab Women in Maritime Association
(AWIMA) conference successfully
held its annual meeting with
a presence of more than 7 regional
countries. As part of the UAE delegation,
Effat Mostafa, Executive Director
of Tactics Marketing Management,
and Managing Editor of Marasi
News, was selected as the official
Marketing Comm. Officer for the
IMO Women Committee’s AWIMA.
With this recent designation, Mostafa’s
responsibilities moving forward
will include managing all associated
branding and restructuring of a bilingual
logo for AWIMA.
Furthermore, Mostafa will initiate
and implement strategies internally
Marasi News secures ‘Best Maritime Media Platform 2019’
ShipTek 2019, the international marine,
offshore and oil & gas conference,
recently celebrated its 10th edition
in Dubai. The awards ceremony
which took place on the first day of the
two-day conference, witnessed Marasi
News secure the award for ‘Best
Maritime Media Platform 2019.’ This
achievement marks the second consecutive
time that Marasi News has won
the award, with the last being in 2016.
With the ShipTek awards being held
every three years, this re-peat triumph
solidifies Marasi News’ leading position
until the upcoming 11th edition
in 2022. Furthermore, the recognition
reinforces Marasi News’ reputation for
delivering reputable local, regional and
international maritime landscape coverage.
Dushane Solomon, Senior Editor in
Marasi News stated, “We are honored
to be nominated for the second consecutive
time, let alone to win it all.
Since its inception, the ShipTek International
Awards have become a proving
grounds of sorts for the maritime
sector, upholding those intertwined
within the industry to the highest of
benchmarks. We work tirelessly to ensure
the utmost quality and integrity in
all of what we do, and while we are glad
to see these efforts recognized, we will
remain diligent with our contributions
