Dubai ranks ninth in the world’s top maritime capitals in 2019<br />
According to an April-issued report by Menon Economics<br />
and DNV GL, Dubai has moved up the rankings of the<br />
world’s top maritime capitals – an achievement that effectively<br />
strengthens Dubai’s bid to be a top five global maritime<br />
hub. With the local maritime sector contributing to<br />
Dubai’s GDP at 7 per cent to AED 26.9 billion, the Emirate<br />
successfully moved up from its 10th place ranking in 2017<br />
to claim ninth place in 2019. Results were determined by a<br />
Singapore survey of 200 experts and high-profile officials<br />
from leading global maritime companies, with 40% being<br />
from Europe, 30% stemming from Asia, and around 30%<br />
from the US, Middle East and Africa.<br />

اثنتين من الناقالت من دخول مياهها بسبب قيامهما بعمليات نقل<br />
النفط من سفينة إىل سفينة. السفينتين هما ناقلة "نجدية" والتي<br />
شيدت عام 1979، ناقلة "ليدي سارة" التي بنيت عام 2008، والتي<br />
تديرها شركة جلوبال تانكرز وتمثلها شركة برايم تانكرز. ووفقا للهيئة<br />
االتحادية، فقد نفذت السفينتان عمليات نقل غير قانونية للنفط من<br />
سفينة إىل سفينة يف المنطقة االقتصادية الخالصة لدولة اإلمارات<br />
العربية المتحدة، وبعد إجراء التحقيقات، فرضت الهيئة غرامة على<br />
السفينتين وحظرت عليهما دخول مياه اإلمارات العربية المتحدة،<br />
عالوة على ذلك، حذرت الهيئة أيضاً الشركات المعنية من تكرار تلك<br />
اإلجراءات لتفادي حظرها من العمل يف الدولة.<br />

العواصم البحرية في العالم لعام 2019<br />
وفقا لتقرير صدر يف شهر أبريل من قبل "مينون إيكونوميكس"<br />
وهيئة التصنيف النرويجية "دي أن يف جي أل"، رفعت ديب تصنيفها<br />
يف قائمة أفضل العواصم البحرية لتصبح المركز البحري الخامس<br />
عالمياً، ليساهم القطاع البحري يف الناتج المحلي اإلجمايل لديب<br />
بنسبة 7 يف المائة، بقيمة 26.9 مليار درهم، وقد نجحت اإلمارة<br />
يف االرتقاء من المرتبة العاشرة عام 2017 إىل المركز التاسع عام<br />
2019. وتم تحديد النتائج من خالل استطالع أجري يف سنغافورة<br />
آلراء أكثر من 200 خبير ومسؤول بارز من مدراء الشركات البحرية<br />
العالمية الرائدة، 40٪ منهم من أوروبا، و 30٪ من آسيا، وحوايل<br />
30٪ من الواليات المتحدة والشرق األوسط وأفريقيا.<br />

UAE bans tankers after illegal ship-to-ship oil transfers<br />
The Federal Transport Authority (FTA) has banned two<br />
tankers from entering its waters on the grounds of illegal<br />
ship-to-ship oil transfer operations. The vessels in question<br />
are the 1979-built clean product tanker Najdiah and<br />
the 2008-built Lady Sara, managed by Global Tankers and<br />
represented by Prime Tankers. According to the FTA, the<br />
ships carried out illegal ship-to-ship oil transfer operations<br />
in the exclusive economic zone of UAE. After conducting<br />
its investigations, the FTA has imposed a fine over the<br />
two vessels and banned them from entering UAE waters.<br />
Furthermore, the authority also warned the companies<br />
involved against repeating the actions in order to avoid<br />
being banned from operations in the UAE.<br />
