Tasneef seeks to enhance classification
standards with Emiratization
Leveraging the Emirates’ local skillset, Tasneef is strongly positioning itself and the classification sector for success
in the coming years
Since its inception in 2012, the
Emirates Classification Society (TAS-
NEEF), has become known for its
work in improving clients’ safety, and
environmental and business performance.
As the first local classification
society in the UAE, GCC and entire
Arab world, Tasneef holds a preeminent
position in the Emirates.
Recently, the company has begun
increasing its focus on developing local
talent to further strengthen its
mission of promoting the security
and safety of life and property, and
protecting and preserving the natural
environment. Subsequently, Tasneef
announced the hiring of two UAE
Nationals as part of these efforts, for
its Emiratization program in the first
Arab Classification Society.
Both fresh graduates, Ayesha Al
Saadi and Ahmed Al Wahedi, each
attained their respective mechanical
engineering degrees from different
educational institutes in Abu Dhabi.
Over a duration of 12 months, Al
Saadi and Al Wahedi will undergo extensive
training for a year-in-order to
qualify as competent surveyors. Upon
successful completion, Al Saadi will
become the first-ever UAE woman
to qualify in such a unique field. Additionally,
Al Wahedi will become the
fifth UAE national to qualify as a surveyor
at Tasneef.
Qualifying the UAE caliber
Training will include theoretical
modules to educate the Al Saadi and
Al Wahedi on the principles of marine
engineering and survey activities, in
addition to practical training as per
IACS standards to qualify surveyors.
After the initial training period, Al
Wahedi will continue his in-field career
as a surveyor where he will attain
further qualifications for various survey
activities on a multitude of vessel
types. As for Al Saadi, given her
preferred interest in engineering activities,
she will undertake additional
training in plan approval activities for
the mechanical section.
Furthermore, Eng.Waleed AlTamimi,
General Manager of Tasneef Maritime
affirmed, "We cannot achieve progress
and accomplishments without
our qualified UAE caliber who have
expertise in classification, inspection
and surveying of all types of vessels.
At Tasneef, we are determined to attract,
educate, train and qualify the
young Emiratis in in all maritime and
engineering fields. Our ultimate goal
is to enhance the domestic market
and marine industries with such national
experiences."
In less than a decade, Tasneef’s capabilities
have been enhanced to not
only meet the requirements of the
classification sector, but also internally
to appropriately train and qualify
fresh graduates completely in-house.
As a result, Tasneef will continue its
recent focus shift to qualify more
UAE Nationals as it builds the knowhow
of classification business in the
region..
‏"تصنيف"‏ تسعى إلى تعزيز معايير
التصنيف عبر دعم التوطين
تسعى ‏"تصنيف"‏ للنجاح والنهوض بقطاع التصنيف يف السنوات
القادمة من خالل االستفادة من مهارات الكوادر المواطنة.‏
منذ إنشائها يف عام 2012، تتميز هيئة اإلمارات للتصنيف ‏"تصنيف"‏
بجهودها الفعالة يف المحافظة على سالمة أعمال العمالء وتحسين
بيئة العمل الوظيفي.‏ وبصفتها أول هيئة تصنيف وطنية يف دولة
اإلمارات العربية المتحدة ومجلس التعاون الخليجي والعالم العريب
بأكمله،‏ نالت تصنيف مكانة بارزة ومرموقة يف اإلمارات.‏
ويف اآلونة األخيرة،‏ بدأت الهيئة بالتركيز على تطوير كفاءة المواطنين
لتحقيق مهمتها المتمثلة يف تعزيز األمن والسالمة والمحافظة على
الحياة والممتلكات وحماية البيئة البحرية.‏ وقد أعلنت ‏"تصنيف"‏
عن تعيين اثنين من المواطنين لتحقيق أهداف برنامج التوطين يف
أول هيئة تصنيف عربية.‏
كال الخريجين الجدد،‏ أحمد الواحيدي وعائشة السعدي،‏ الحاصلين
على شهادة الهندسة الميكانيكية من معاهد تعليمية مختلفة يف
أبوظبي،‏ سيخضعان لتدريب مكثف لمدة عام كي يتأهال كمفتشين
بحريين مؤهلين.‏ وبعد إنهاء فترة التدريب ستصبح عائشة السعدي
أول امرأة إماراتية تتأهل يف هذا المجال،‏ وسيكون أحمد الواحيدي
خامس مواطن إمارايت يتأهل كمفتش بحري يف تصنيف.‏
تأهيل الكوادر الوطنية
سيشمل التدريب الذي سيخوضه كل من الواحيدي والسعدي
مواد نظرية حول مبادئ الهندسة البحرية وأنشطة المسح البحري،‏
باإلضافة إىل التدريب العملي وفقاً‏ لمعايير المنظمة الدولية لهيئات
التصنيف العالمية لتأهيل المفتشين البحر يين IACS لتأهيل
المسّ‏ احين،‏ وبعد فترة التدريب األولية،‏ سيواصل الوحيدي مشواره
الميداين كمفتش بحري حيث سيتدرب على مؤهالت أخرى ألنشطة
المسح المختلفة تشمل أنواع متعددة من السفن.‏ أما السعدي،‏
ونظراً‏ الهتمامها بالمجال الهندسي،‏ فستجري تدريباً‏ إضافياً‏ على
معاينة المخططات للقسم الميكانيكي.‏
وبهذه المناسبة قال المهندس وليد التميمي،‏ المدير العام لشركة
تصنيف ماريتايم:‏ ‏"ال يمكننا تحقيق التقدم واإلنجازات من دون
وجود كوادر مؤهلة بدولة اإلمارات العربية المتحدة،‏ وذات خبرة يف
إجراء عمليات التصنيف والتفتيش والمسح لجميع أنوع السفن.‏
ويف تصنيف،‏ نسعى إىل جذب وتدريب وتأهيل الشباب اإلمارايت يف
جميع المجاالت البحرية والهندسية،‏ لتحقيق هدفنا األسمى هو
تعزيز السوق المحلي والقطاع المالحي يف الدولة".‏
وخالل السنوات الماضية تم تعزيز قدرات ‏"تصنيف"‏ لتلبية
متطلبات قطاع التصنيف بشكل عام وتدريب الخريجين الجدد
وتأهيلهم بشكل كامل حتى يكونوا مؤهلين كلياً‏ داخل السوق،‏ ونتيجةً‏
لذلك،‏ ستواصل الهيئة التركيز على تأهيل المزيد من مواطني دولة
اإلمارات ورفع مستوى المعرفة لدى قطاع التصنيف يف المنطقة.‏
