Tray sealers on the way up

A tray sealer TS 100 was sold to the Greek company
Olympic Catering, which supplies food to airlines,
for example. This has a symbolic character: the tray
sealers are on the way up.
The Greek company, based in Athens, produces food to
supply airline passengers, catering services in restaurants,
airport bars, airport shops and for industry. Olympic
Catering currently has state-of-the-art production facilities
with a daily capacity of 30,000 portions. The TS 100 which
was sold is extremely variable: packaging of both small
and large trays, with vacuuming and gas flushing, with
gas flushing as well as with low and extremely high sealing
pressure.
The interpac series TS 60, TS 80 and TS 100 were completely
new developments, although the reliable technology is
similar to the successful sealing processes of the Waldner
DOSOMAT machines, which are used for sterilisable cups
made of aluminium or PPEVOHPP. In this sector, we are the
number 1 on the world market. The heart of the tray sealer
is the sealing and cutting tool, which is decisive for the
sealing quality. Here too we have taken new approaches and
developed a tool with individually driven sealing heads with
spherical bearings.

With this new TS tray sealer and the fillers of type UNIMAT
(piston fillers) and MultiDos (pocket fillers with vacuum
support), which have been part of the range for decades,
Waldner can now assemble all types of filling lines.
Together with Olympic Catering, we are looking forward to
the successful launch of their large Waldner READY-MEAL
line. This is equipped with a TS 100, a MultiDos for chunky
products, two UNIMAT sauce fillers and a Multihead Weigher
for filling exact weights of large chunky products.
Four different tray sizes are processed. The various tools
are equipped with quick-change technology to achieve short
conversion times. Because, after all, airline passengers and
consumers don't always want to eat the same thing. Ready
for take-off.
