US makers are never involved with any air handling issues
or equipment other than the fume hoods themselves; their
fume hoods are never outfitted with any type of air control
devices from the factory – these too are provided by other
contractors. The US manufacturers typically only provide
the casework and the fume hoods.
With all these various contractors on a project it can lead to
a very complex job site and a very challenging process for
all involved.
In September of this year, Waldner Inc. introduced
itself to its US competitors at the Labs21 Conference
in Indianapolis with a very professional outfit. With
our highly efficient SECUFLOW fume hood, we are
meeting a need that is being discussed by users and
operators more and more in the USA alone. There
were many high-ranking names among the visitors
at the Waldner booth this year, people who weren’t
paying us much attention three years ago.
Eduardo Calvin: You have been CEO of WALDNER Inc.'s US
Branch for almost 100 days now. Can you share your impressions
with us
Dave Weber: After these first 100 days my impressions continue
to be what they were the very first day I set foot in the
Waldner factory in Wangen; it is the people that make the
company. Everyone that I have had the pleasure of meeting
take great pride in their work and care about the product
that they are part of. This pride shows in the product and
shows in the way each of them go about their business.
The world wide reputation that Waldner enjoys is because
of these individuals. I am very proud and honored to be part
of this winning team!
Eduardo Calvin: What are your personal aims for
WALDNER Inc. in the near future
Dave Weber: My personal goals for Waldner Inc. are simple,
capture good profitable business in the US Market and gain
market share.
Eduardo Calvin: Thank you very much, Dave, for the interesting
interview, and I wish you great success in your new position!
