Das Department of International Management & Consulting (IMC) setzt sich in Lehre
und Forschung mit aktuellen Fragen des Managements auseinander. Aus einer
internationalen Perspektive widmen wir uns Themen wie der Unternehmensführung,
der Organisation von Unternehmen und der Bedeutung der Human Resources
ebenso wie Fragen der Unternehmensberatung, des Coachings, und der
Unternehmensethik. Das Department lebt von dem intensiven Austausch und der
Zusammenarbeit von Mitgliedern mit unterschiedlichen Forschungsperspektiven wie
zum Beispiel der systemisch-konstruktivistischen Perspektive und empirischen
Ansätzen. Unsere Mitglieder betreiben Forschung u.a. in den Themenbereichen
Change Management, Coaching, Consulting, Corporate Governance, Erfolgsfaktoren
im Human Resources Management, Incentive Designs, Innovationsmanagement,
Wissensmanagement, Personalauswahl und -beurteilung, Personalentwicklung und
Sozialkompetenzen, Strategieprozesse, nachhaltige Entwicklung, Systemisches
Management, Unternehmensnetzwerke und Unternehmensethik.
Dr. Michael Behnam
erhält Professur an der
Suffolk University in
Boston
Dr. Michael Behnam hat einen Ruf an die Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts
erhalten. Dr. Behnam promovierte an der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität mit
einer Arbeit über "Strategische Unternehmensplanung und ethische Reflexion"
(summa cum laude). Seit 1998 war er als Wissenschaftlicher Dozent an der ebs
tätig, wo er seit dem 1. September 2001 den Lehrstuhl für Internationales
Management als kommissarischer Leiter führte. Er verfasste eine Habilitation zum
Thema "Organisation und Wandel – Eine konstruktivistisch-systemtheoretische
Perspektive". Die Hochschulleitung dankt Dr. Benahm für sein Engagement und
wünscht ihm beruflich wie auch privat viel Erfolg und Glück für seinen weiteren
Lebensweg!

Through its teaching and research, the Department of International Management &
Consulting (IMC) deals with current management issues. The work of the department
is dedicated to topics such as corporate management, the organisation of
companies and the importance of human resources as well as areas such as
management consulting, coaching and corporate ethics, all of which are
approached from an international perspective. The department thrives on the
intensive exchange of ideas and cooperation between members who adopt different
approaches to research – systemic-constructivist or empirical, for example. Our
members are currently conducting research into change management, coaching,
consulting, corporate governance, success factors in human resources
management, incentive designs, innovation management, knowledge management,
staff selection and assessment, personal development and social skills, strategy
processes, sustained development, systemic management, corporate networks and
corporate ethics.
Dr. Michael Behnam
receives professorship at
Suffolk University
in Boston, USA
Dr. Michael Behnam has been awarded a professorship at Suffolk University in
Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Behnam earned his doctorate (summa cum laude) at the
Johann Wolfgang Goethe University with a thesis entitled “Strategic Corporate planning
and Ethical Reflection”. He joined ebs in 1998 as an Assistant Professor and
was made provisional head of the Chair of International Management on 1
September 2001. His postdoctoral thesis was on “Organisation and Change – a
Constructivist-Systems Theory Approach”. The university management would like to
thank Dr. Behnam for his commitment and wishes him every success and happiness
for the future, both professionally and privately!
