Die drei Häfender Brunsbüttel Ports GmbHhaben insgesamt 5 Mio. t indiesen sechs Monaten umgeschlagen.Diese positive Entwicklungist auf stabileFrank SchnabelUmschlag- und Transport -mengen mit den wichtigsten Kunden, aber auch auf denZugewinn neuer Umschlaggeschäfte zurückzuführen.Für das Gesamtjahr 2009 geht die Brunsbüttel PortsGmbH weiterhin von einem relativ stabilen Umschlag -geschehen aus, auch wenn in einigen Bereichen, z. B.bei der Chemie-Industrie und beim Containerumschlag,deutliche Rückgänge verzeichnet wurden. Diese Rückgängekonnten aber in anderen Umschlagsegmentenkompensiert werden. „Die letzten sechs Monate habengezeigt“, so der Geschäftsführer Frank Schnabel, „dasssich unser Universalhafenkonzept bewährt hat. Forthe full 2009 financial year, Brunsbüttel Ports GmbHcontinues to expect relatively stable handling activities,despite the fact that marked declines were recorded insome areas, such as in the chemicals industry and incontainer handling. These declines were offset in othercargo segments, however. “The last 6 months have shownthat our universal port concept is proving a success,”says Managing Director Frank Schnabel. “With thethree mainstays bulk cargo, breakbulk cargo – especiallythe handling of wind power equipment – and liquid bulkcargo, Brunsbüttel Ports GmbH and the Elbe port canrespond quickly and flexibly to changing market needsand customer requirements. We will continue to pursuethis outstanding universal port concept,” adds Schnabel.The focus for future growth will be on boosting thebulk cargo handling operations, and on developing theBrunsbüttel location as a production, service and cargohandling centre for wind power equipment.
