Juni 2009besuchte der Neubau HS DEBUSSY als erstes Schiff desneuen Gemeinschaftsdienstes den Hamburger Hafen.Der auf der Chengxi-Werft Shanghai gebaute Containerfrachterder Hamburger Reederei Hansa Treuhand ist231 m lang, 32,2 m breit und hat eine Stellplatzkapazitätvon 3.530 TEU sowie 400 Kühl containeranschlüsse.Im ISES werden derzeit insgesamt sieben Einheiten mitStellplatzkapazitäten von 3.400 bis 5.100 Standard -containern (TEU) beschäftigt. Neben den Charter-Ein -heiten HS DEBUSSY und SCI KOLKATA (ex ER SYDNEY)bringt SCI die im Eigentum befindlichen NeubautenSCI CHENNAI und SCI MUMBAI in den Dienst ein.MSC ergänzt diesen mit den Schiffen BELLAVIA undOCTAVIA sowie der MSC ANTWERP. Von Hamburgaus läuft die HS DEBUSSY die Häfen Rotterdam,Felixstowe, Port Said, Jeddah, Colombo, Mumbai-Nhava Sheva und Mundra an, bevor sie sich wieder aufden Weg über Salalah, Port Said und Barcelona in dieHansestadt macht. Die Rundreise dauert 49 Tage.The Shipping Corporationof India (SCI) and the Swissshipping company MediterraneanShipping Company(MSC), headquartered inGeneva, jointly operate the weekly scheduled linerservice between Northern Europe and the Indian subcontinent(ISES). On 12 June 2009, the newbuild HSDEBUSSY was the first ship in the new joint serviceto call at the Port of Hamburg. Built at the Chengxishipyards in Shanghai, the container freighter ownedby the Hamburg-based shipping company HansaTreuhand is 231 metres long, has a beam of 32.2 metresand a carrying capacity of 3,530 TEU, with 400 reeferconnections. The ISES service currently operates withseven units, with carrying capacities ranging from3,400 to 5,100 standard containers (TEU). As well asthe charter units HS DEBUSSY and SCI KOLKATA(ex ER SYDNEY), the joint operator SCI also deploystheir own newbuilds SCI CHENNAI and SCIMUMBAI in this service. Departing from Hamburg, theHS DEBUSSY calls at the ports of Rotterdam,Felixstowe, Port Said, Jeddah, Colombo, Mumbai-Nhava Sheva and Mundra, before returning toHamburg via Salalah, Port Said and Barcelona.The round trip takes 49 days. Between the Port ofHamburg and the destinations India / Pakistan andMiddle East (Red Sea / Persian Gulf) around 282,000TEU and 300,000 TEU, respectively, were handledin the year 2008.
