As a concrete example, let the machines M1, M2, M3 be used for<br />

turning, drilling <strong>and</strong> thread cutting operations respectively. The desired jobs in<br />

this context are differently shaped wooden boxes, to be prepared from a large<br />

rectangular timber of wood. Also assume that the time involvement of the jobs<br />
