C. <strong>The</strong> Palace <strong>of</strong> Juiblex: <strong>The</strong> evil<br />
stench <strong>of</strong> this noxious swamp gets far<br />
worse as the characters approach what<br />
seems to be the largest heap <strong>of</strong> decaying<br />
garbage in all the planes <strong>of</strong><br />
existence—the palace <strong>of</strong> Juiblex<br />
itself. <strong>The</strong> area around the palace is<br />
filled with manes, bar-lgura, and<br />
type II and IV demons, all <strong>of</strong> whom<br />
prey on each other. Several attack the<br />
party as it nears the palace; if the<br />
attackers are not instantly repelled by<br />
great force, a great mob joins in. Dinner<br />
time!<br />
Juiblex is not interested in the visit<br />
<strong>of</strong> normal creatures, regardless <strong>of</strong><br />
what they have to <strong>of</strong>fer, and attacks<br />
full-force anyone with the temerity to<br />
enter his lair. If he appears to be losing,<br />
he teleports away. His palace contains<br />
many treasures, including rings
