Draw a picture<br />

One sheet <strong>for</strong> each pupil containing only an<br />

outline of a child.<br />

Method<br />

Pupils colour in the eyes <strong>and</strong> hair, <strong>and</strong> draw ears,<br />

nose, h<strong>and</strong>s <strong>and</strong> feet.<br />

Talk about different hair <strong>and</strong> eye colours, <strong>and</strong><br />

count one <strong>and</strong> two.<br />

Song<br />

A good activity song <strong>for</strong> learning about the body is<br />

‘Head <strong>and</strong> shoulders knees <strong>and</strong> toes, knees <strong>and</strong><br />

toes’.<br />

Booklet about myself<br />

Resources<br />

Photograph of the pupil (a digital camera is an<br />

excellent resource).<br />

A sheet containing an outline of a child.<br />

Method<br />

1. Pupil sticks his/her photograph into folded<br />

‘booklet’.<br />

2. Writes, or copies, name, age, school, address<br />

or area, etc.<br />

3. Labels blank outline of child <strong>and</strong> writes, or<br />

copies, sentences about colour of hair <strong>and</strong><br />

eyes.<br />

4. Writes, or copies, simple sentences about, <strong>for</strong><br />

example, likes or dislikes, family, how he/she<br />

came to school today, etc.<br />

5. Put the booklet into Dossier of ELP - punch the<br />

pages or use a plastic sleeve.
