ch<strong>of</strong>en by the town <strong>of</strong> Briftol the firft <strong>of</strong> its 5 affeffors; 30<br />

July [B. C. D. i: 97], he bought back, for £50, his " home-<br />

lot" in Briftol which he had fold (29 Sept. 1688) to his<br />

brother-in-law, James Burroughs; 6 September [Ibid. 385],<br />

he buys <strong>of</strong> Ifrael Hubbard and Jonathan Dodfon <strong>of</strong> Scitu-<br />

ate, for £150, one "great lot" in Freetown, " being the<br />

fecond lot from y e Fall-river."<br />

ber <strong>of</strong> Tiverton 80 acres at Nomquid, with a grift mill, and<br />

alfo 39 acres in Punkateajl neck, with other lots, for £360,<br />

faid Tabor agreeing to maintain the grift-mill, as Church<br />

had done, with the agents <strong>of</strong> the proprietors <strong>of</strong> Saconet.<br />

ch<strong>of</strong>en Moderator <strong>of</strong> Briftol town-meeting, — the laft time<br />

his name is mentioned on the records <strong>of</strong> that town, indicat-<br />

ing his removal very foon after to Fall-river; 2 May [B. C.<br />

D. i: 290], he dep<strong>of</strong>ed that in 1680 he faw Hugh Wood-<br />

berry fencing " the nth lot <strong>of</strong> y e freeman's land," &c, in<br />

Freetown; 27 July [Ibid, ii: 217], he fells, for £18, to John<br />

Palmer, carpenter, <strong>of</strong> Little Compton, 40 acres <strong>of</strong> land in<br />
