with any <strong>of</strong> the Pocaffet or Sogkonate Indians, and that Mr.<br />

Church mould go his Second. Upon the Captains receiv-<br />

ing his orders, he ask'd Mr. Church whither he was willing<br />

to engage in this interprize: To whom 'twas indeed too<br />

agreeable to be declined; tho' he thought the enterprize<br />

was hazardous enough, for them to have more Men affign'd<br />

them. Capt. Fuller told him that for his own part he was<br />

grown Ancient and heavy, he feared the travel and fatigue<br />

would be too much for him. But Mr. Church urged him,<br />

and told him, he would chearfully excufe him, his hardfhip<br />

and travel, and take that part to himfelf, if he might but<br />

go; for he had rather do any thing in the World than ftay<br />
