Acceptance <strong>of</strong> RAC-O<br />

RAC-O shall meet the requirements for surface tolerance and visual acceptance as specified elsewhere<br />

in the Contract. Acceptance <strong>of</strong> the material shall be based on the average for the lot meeting the<br />

requirements given in Table C and for air voids, no less than 2 % below the mix design requirements.<br />

Testing by an independent third party referee laboratory <strong>of</strong> only the entire lot may be requested by the<br />

Contractor or the Owner for any completed lot.<br />

Referee testing for a given lot can only be invoked by the Contractor within five business days <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Contractor receiving the Contract Administrator’s calculated QC and QA payment factors for that lot.<br />

The Owner may invoke referee testing for a given lot not more than 15 business days after all the QA<br />

samples for the lot are received at the QA laboratory, or not more than 6 business days after all the QC<br />

results are received by the Contract Administrator, or not more than 15 days after a lot is terminated due<br />

to a delay <strong>of</strong> more than 20 business days in placing the complete lot, whichever is the latest date.<br />
