Mit welchen Worten würden Sie Ihren grossen Tag ganz spontan beschreiben? Vielen Dank! Es war tatsächlich der schönste Tag in meinem Leben. Und wann haben Sie mit der Planung der Hochzeit begonnen? Ein Jahr davor. Sie haben im renommierten Baur au Lac in Zürich geheiratet. Weshalb haben Sie sich für diese Location entschieden? Das Hotel Baur au Lac geniesst einen hervorragenden Ruf. Zudem bietet die Lage direkt am See eine wunderschöne Kulisse für eine Hochzeit unter freiem Himmel. Diese zwei Punkte waren für uns ausschlaggebend. Wie war die Zusammenarbeit mit den Verantwortlichen des Hotels? Professionell und zuvorkommend. Zu jedem unserer Anliegen fanden sie die perfekte Lösung – und weit darüber hinaus! Konnten alle Ihre Vorstellungen vom perfekten Fest verwirklicht werden? Mehr als das: Das Hotel Baur au Lac hat massgeblich dazu beige tragen, unsere Hochzeit zum schönsten Tag in unserem Leben werden zu lassen! Unsere Gäste erzählen uns noch heute, unsere Hochzeit sei Hollywood in Zürich gewesen. Wunderschönes Wetter ermöglichte uns eine Trauung unter freiem Himmel, der Küchenchef zauberte ein tolles Essen und die Weinempfehlung des Sommeliers war ein Gedicht. Dazu das perfekt abgestimmte Team des Hotels. Was waren im Vorfeld die grössten Schwierigkeiten bei der Planung? Das passende Hochzeitsthema zu finden, war bestimmt der schwierigste Punkt. Wofür haben Sie sich dann entschieden? Schlicht und einfach «Liebe» – das passt ja perfekt zur Hochzeit. Einen ganz speziellen Text dazu haben wir dann für die Einladungskarten, die Tischdekoration und die Ring-Gravur verwendet. Off the top of your head, what words come to mind to describe your special day? Thank you! It really was the most wonderful day in my life. When did you start planning your wedding? A year in advance. The reception was held at the Baur au Lac, a highly regarded hotel in Zurich. What prompted you to choose this location? The Hotel Baur au Lac has an outstanding reputation. At the same time, its location right on the lake creates a beautiful setting for an outdoor wedding. Those were the two points that clinched it for us. How would you describe the attitude of the people you had to deal with at the hotel? Professional and obliging. Whatever we wanted, they found the perfect solution – and gave us much more besides! Did your dream of the perfect celebration come true? More than that: The Hotel Baur au Lac was instrumental in making our wedding the best day of our lives! Our guests still tell us our wedding was «Hollywood in Zurich». Marvelous weather allowed us to hold the reception outdoors. The chef de cuisine conjured up a sumptuous feast; and the wines recommended by the sommelier were pure poetry. The hotel team too worked like clockwork. What were the biggest difficulties during the planning phase? Deciding on a suitable theme for the wedding was definitely the biggest headache. So what did you decide on in the end? Quite simply «Love», the perfect theme for the wedding. We then used a very special, meaningful text for the invitations, the table decorations and the engravings on the ring.
