This appendix consists of a more detailed presentation of the
bases, assumptions, and procedlres used to estimate &quipment designs
and correspondi ng capita1 and operating costs for f1 ares, thermal
incinerators, catalytic incinerators, she11-and-tube condensers, and
piping and ducting. The basis of design and cost estimates are presented
in the foll owi ng sections: E.2, flares; E.3, thermal incinerators;
E.4, catalytic incinerators; E .5 she1 1-and-tube condensers; and E.6,
piping and ducting. The instal lation cost factors used in each analysis
and the annualized cost factors used in all of the cost analysis are
given in Tables 5-2 and 5-3, respectively.
