<strong>Control</strong> techniques guide1 ines (CTG) are issued for the control <strong>of</strong> volatile<br />

organic compounds (VOC) <strong>from</strong> certain pol'ymer manufacturing plants to inform<br />

Regional , State, and local air pollution control agencies <strong>of</strong> reasonably available<br />

control technology (RACT) for development <strong>of</strong> regulations necessary to attain the<br />

national ambient air quality standards for ozone. This document contains information<br />

on VOC emissions and the costs and environmental impacts <strong>of</strong> RACT in polypropylene<br />

liquid-phase process plants, high-density polyethylene slurry process plants and<br />

polystyrene continuous process plants.<br />
