RUCKSACKS,
BAGS AND
TRAVEL LUGGAGE
When it comes to rucksacks there are two things that really matter. Firstly,
they have to fit properly – just like your shoes. This is why we make rucksacks
with different back lengths and in gender-specific versions for men and
women. Secondly, the carry system, materials and detailing need to corre -
spond to the activity the rucksack is intended for. For example, trekking ruck -
sacks should ensure a comfortable carry over longer distances; alpine ruck -
sacks need to be lightweight and provide full freedom of movement; hiking
and biking packs should offer good ventilation and daypacks for the office,
college or everyday use should be able to accommodate folders, a laptop
and other equipment. It doesn’t always have to be a rucksack, of course; for
everyday essentials a bag will often do the job. You’ll find them in this sec -
tion, too. And if you are travelling, we also have plenty of suitable options –
whether you are off on an expedition or a business trip; whether you require
tons of carry capacity or just something for your important documents.
