“Alefa!” (“We’re off”) to Madagascar
September 2011: we set off for Madagascar. In just 14 days we explore
4 national parks and get a brief but fascinating insight into the amazing
wildlife and biodiversity on the world’s fourth-largest island.
We cover more than 1,000 km: from Antananarivo via the green forests
of the Ranomafana National Park to the dry plateaus and mountain
peaks of the Andringitra National Park. Our route then takes us south -
west through the Isalo National Park until we reach our final desti -
nation – the Caribbean coastal region of Ifaty.
