STORMLOCK ACTIVE: These are the lightest
STORM LOCK fabrics that we use, predominantly in
our windproof, lightweight clothing. With these
fabrics, the windproofing is achieved through the
use of a particularly dense weave, and the special
thermal treatment of the reverse side. Since a coat -
ing or membrane is not required, the fabric consists
of a single layer only, which means that STORM -
LOCK ACTIVE has the best breathability performance
of all the unlaminated STORMLOCK versions. It is
also water repellent.
A STORMLOCK ACTIVE RIPSTOP DWR: The rip -
stop construction, with its matrix of reinforcement
threads, renders this windproof fabric tear resist -
ant in spite of its very light weight.
A STORMLOCK ACTIVE TUSSOR: The microfibre
yarns and special tussor weave are what make this
windproof fabric so robust and give it a pleasant,
cotton-like feel.
A STORMLOCK ACTIVE TWILLSUEDE: The poly -
ester microfibres and emerized twill finish give this
windproof fabric its supple, velvety-soft texture.
STORMLOCK HYPROOF: This STORMLOCK ver -
sion gives the best weather protection and is com -
prised of an outer fabric teamed with a totally wind -
proof, extremely water repellent coating or mem -
brane. The fabric itself is waterproof. Moisture ingress
is only possible at the seams and pockets.
A STORMLOCK HYPROOF SMOOTHLIGHT 2L:
A windproof fabric made from matt nylon yarns in
a fine twill construction. It is less prone to rustling
and offers the perfect combination of softness,
robustness and a comparatively low weight.
STORMLOCK HYPROOF STRETCH LINING:
A soft, supple and very stretchy lining fabric with a
dual-layer construction: a soft microfibre jersey knit
fabric laminated to a windproof and very breathable
membrane.
STORMLOCK O 2 SOFTSHELL ATMOSPHERE:
Our lightest 3-layer softshell laminate. This fabric is
windproof and water repellent and in addition it is
air permeable. This allows constant air exchange to
occur through the fabric, which supports and en -
hances the conventional moisture vapour trans -
mission through the microporous coating. The more
you move, the more air is exchanged and the more
breathable the fabric becomes. We call this “dyna mic
breathability”. The smooth Jersey reverse side is sim i lar
to a func tional T-shirt fabric and wicks sweat ra pidly
away from the skin to the outside.
STORMLOCK SOFTSHELL JERSEY: The defining
attributes of this totally windproof and extremely
water repellent softshell laminate are its sweatshirtstyle
appearance and wear comfort. Both the outer
surface and the inner layer consist of knitted fabrics.
The lightly structured piqué reverse side is similar to
a functional T-shirt fabric and wicks sweat rapidly
away from the skin to the outside. Thanks to the
inherent elasticity of the knitted fabrics and the
membrane, the laminate is very stretchy.

Our STORMLOCK fabrics are totally windproof and

SUPPLEX: Supplex is a tried and tested UV pro -
tection fabric made of nylon fibres. It has a soft,
supple texture, is easy care, crease resistant and very
robust. Its high UV protection factor (40+) meets the
AS/NZS 4399: 1996 standard. It blocks out 97.5 % of
all harmful UVA and UVB rays. The protection comes
from the fibres themselves and is not the result of
any additional fabric treatment. This means that the
UV protection is permanent and not affected by
perspiration or water.
SUPPLEX DWR: Supplex is a tried and tested UV
protection fabric made of nylon yarns. It has a
durable water repellent finish and a soft, supple
texture. It is also easy care, crease resistant and very
robust. Its high UV protection factor (40+) meets the
AS/NZS 4399: 1996 standard. It blocks out 97.5 % of
all harmful UVA and UVB rays. The protection comes
from the fibres themselves and is not the result of
any additional fabric treatment. This means that the
UV protection is permanent and not affected by
perspiration or water.
TECNOPILE MICRO: A very lightweight, high qual -
ity microfleece with a velour structure on both sides.
We use it to make our classic fleece pullover, the
GECKO. It provides excellent insulation properties at
almost negligible weight and is therefore ideal for
dynamic activities at any time of the year. The fabric
also has a minimal pack size.
TENCEL COMFORT: A natural functional fabric
made of 60 % cotton and 40 % Lyocell (TENCEL) for
shirts and blouses. The TENCEL content provides very
good moisture management and thermo regulation.
The smooth finish is kind to the skin and has natural
prop erties that inhibit the growth of odour causing
bac teria on the fabric. Unlike polyester or polyamide
based fabrics, TENCEL produces no electrostatic charge.
TENCEL COOL’N SMOOTH: A soft, functional
fabric with a cool and smooth texture used to make
shirts and blouses. TENCEL is a natural fibre derived
from wood pulp, a sustainable resource. It is partic -
ularly pleasant to wear on sunburnt skin and has
natural properties that inhibit the growth of odour
causing bacteria on the fabric.
TENCEL NYLON Q.M.C.: A very lightweight and
functional checked pattern fabric made of 53 %
Lyocell (TENCEL) and 47 % polyamide. Soft, cooling
TENCEL also has natural properties that inhibit the
growth of odour causing bacteria on the fabric. The
fabric is enhanced with robust Q.M.C. polyamide
fibres for moisture-regulating performance. This hard
wearing fabric remains pleasant to wear even at hot -
ter temperatures, which makes it ideal for functional
shirts and blouses.
TEXAPORE 3GRID DT 2.5L: A waterproof and
very breathable fabric used to make very light and
packable shell clothing. Thanks to its triple ripstop
construction (3GRID) with its matrix of reinforcement
threads, this fabric has high tear strength and a light
weight. A special protective polymer layer on the inside
of the coating dispenses with the need for the usual
protective mesh lining and means the fabric is less
prone to adhering to the skin (DT= Dry Touch). Hydro -

TEXAPORE 4x4 2L: This waterproof and breath -
able shell fabric consists of a fabric and a micro -
porous coating. We use it in our hiking jackets and
children’s jackets to provide basic weather protec -
tion. Hydrostatic head: 4,000 mm, moisture vapour
transmission rate: 4,000 g/m 2 /24 h
TEXAPORE 4x4 OXFORD 2L: The coarser Oxford
weave and nylon yarn make this waterproof and
breathable shell fabric particularly robust. Hydro -
static head: 4,000mm; moisture vapour trans mission:
4,000g/m 2 /24 h
TEXAPORE fabrics: This standard performance
level of our proprietary TEXAPORE weather protec -
tion technology is the one most frequently found in
our collection. The fabrics are waterproof and very
breathable. A microporous coating or membrane is
combined with various face fabrics, depending on
the application. Hydrostatic head: 6,000mm; mois -
ture vapour transmission: 9,000g/m 2 /24 h
A TEXAPORE COMFORT 2L: This lightweight
weather proof shell fabric consists of microfibre poly -
ester yarns. It is exceptionally soft and supple and
has an almost velvety finish. Moisture vapour
transmission: 10,000 g/m 2 /24 h
A TEXAPORE EXTREME 2L: A weatherproof shell
fabric with exceptionally high tearstrength and
abra sion resistance, used as a reinforcement fabric
at critical wear points on garments (e.g. shoulders,
elbows, knees, ankles and seat).
A TEXAPORE FUNCTION 65 ORGANIC HEATHER 2L:
The key attributes of this weatherproof shell fabric
are its cotton-like feel and its matt, natural ap -
pear ance. The face fabric we use is our tried and
tested polycotton hybrid fabric, FUNCTION 65
ORGANIC, which consists of 35% organic cotton
from controlled and certified sources and 65 %
poly ester. Since only the cotton is dyed, this gives
a mottled appearance, which underscores the
natural character of the fabric.
A TEXAPORE LINING: A waterproof and very
breathable lining that delivers “hidden” weather
protection. It consists of a pore-free membrane
and a light and soft jersey fabric. It allows us to
use a wide variety of different shell fabrics and
gives us more freedom with the cuts of the gar -
ments, since the seams of the lining are sealed,
rather than the seams of the shell fabric itself.

A TEXAPORE SMOOTHLIGHT 2L: A waterproof,
very breathable fabric made from matt nylon yarns
in a fine twill construction. The fabric is less prone
to rustling and offers the perfect combination of
softness, robustness and a relatively low weight.
A TEXAPORE STRETCH 2L: This active stretch
weather proof shell fabric is frequently used for the
stretch panels/ inserts on shell jackets that are
designed to deliver particularly good freedom of
movement, e.g. on the shoulders, back and sleeves.
To ensure this superior mobility, an elasticated
microporous coating is applied to a stretchy poly -
amide fabric.
