GLOSSARYFOOTWEAR
BRACE SUPPORT FITTING SYSTEM: This addi -
tional stabilising component takes the form of a tough
cross-shaped brace made from TPU (thermoplastic
polyurethane). It encircles the ankle and is linked to
the lacing system, via which it can be adjusted to
achieve the perfect fit.
CIRCULINER: A breathable, moisture-regulating
lin ing fabric made from polyester.
EVA: EVA stands for ethylene vinyl acetate, a very
light, foamed plastic with durably elastic properties,
very good cushioning performance and good shape
retention. EVA is used in various grades of hardness
for midsoles and shock absorbing components.
PE: PE is the abbreviation for polyethylene, a thermo -
plastic material used to make the insoles (approx.
2mm thick) on many of our footwear models. PE has
a medium density and offers good stability, together
with high tenacity and elongation at break.

ARIZONA
A flexible children’s hiking sole designed for a
wide spectrum of uses. Its four components de -
liver a high level of wear comfort:
1.Rubber outsole with aggressive tread for a
secure grip
2. Integrated shock pads in heel and forefoot
3. Lightweight insole
4. Removable cushioning EVA footbed
BLUE WATER
The shape of this sandal sole was specifically
devel oped for growing children’s feet. The com -
ponents make it suitable for both land and water
based activities:
1. Anti-slip rubber outsole with ribbed tread for
good grip and stability
2. Comfortable EVA footbed with antibacterial
function (inhibits formation of bacteria and
associated unpleasant odours); either water -
proof EVA or with a microfibre covering fabric,
depending on the model
CANYON
An ultra-lightweight sandal sole suitable for land
and water based sports. It consists of three com -
ponents:
1. Rubber outsole with very high natural latex
content, bonded like a mesh to the EVA mid -
sole; anti-slip and extremely light
2. EVA midsole with good cushioning perfor -
mance, further enhanced by the shock pad in
the heel
3. Ergonomically shaped footbed with anti bac te -
rial function (inhibits formation of bacteria and
associated unpleasant odours)
HUCKLEBERRY
A flexible, lightweight sole used for children’s
san dals, consisting of four components:
1. Anti-slip rubber outsole for a secure grip
2. Shock pads for enhanced wear comfort
3. Lightweight insole
4. Soft, waterproof EVA footbed with anti bac te -
rial function (inhibits formation of bacteria and
associated unpleasant odours)
JAM
Dual-component sole for rubber boots:
1. Outsole in very durable natural rubber with
4 mm ribbed tread for outstanding grip on wet
terrain
2. Removable cushioning EVA footbed with mois -
ture-regulating polyester covering fabric

PU: PU stands for polyurethane. We use this foamed
plastic material for midsoles, toe and heel caps and
for coatings. PU is durably elastic, keeps its shape
well, has shock absorbing properties and is very light
and hard wearing.
RAPID LACING SYSTEM: The laces run smoothly
through the crescent-shaped, low-friction adjust ment
elements in this efficient lacing system. They are
interspaced at the optimal distance from one an -
other. This allows the lacing to be evenly adjusted
with just one pull, right down to the toe area.
SHOCK ABSORB SYSTEM: Softer, cushioning
in serts or zones in the midsole for better shock ab -
sorp tion.
SHOCK ABSORB SYSTEM PLUS: Softer, cush -
ion ing inserts or zones in the midsole for better
shock absorption. The cushioning areas are slightly
larger than those in the SHOCK ABSORB SYSTEM
and are also visible rather than concealed.
SLIM FIT: In addition to “normal fit” children’s foot -
wear, we also offer various models in a “slim fit”
version suitable for narrower feet. These are high -
lighted with the SLIM FIT icon.
TEXAPORE: Our waterproof footwear models are
equipped with a waterproof and breathable mem -
brane. This is incorporated into the footwear in a
“bootie” construction, which envelops the foot from
the sole to around 2/3 of the height of the uppers.
The TEXAPORE membrane consists of four layers: a
mesh support fabric, the membrane itself, a midlayer
fabric and a lining fabric. The different versions
of TEXAPORE used, TEXAPORE O 2 and TEXAPORE O 3
differ in terms of the performance of the membrane,
i.e. its moisture vapour permeability (breathability).
TEXAPORE O 2 is waterproof and highly breathable.
TEXAPORE O 3 is waterproof and has exceptionally
high breathability.

Lightweight children’s sole for everyday, leisure
and easy hiking. The sole consists of three com -
po nents:
1. Sure-grip rubber outsole with shock pads in
the forefoot and heel zones
2. Lightweight insole
3. EVA insole for comfortable cushioning (with
moisture-regulating polyester covering fabric)
VIBRAM KIDS TREK
VIBRAM KIDS TREK: Robust children’s hiking sole,
also suitable for demanding off-trail hikes. It con -
sists of four components:
1. Rubber outsole with aggressive tread for secure
grip on various types of terrain and in bad
weather
2. Higher sidewall for extra stability and better
protection from stones and wet weather
3. Flexible insole
4. Felt inlay sole with good moisture manage ment
