TEXAPORE AIR
“Thatched roof technology”
TEXAPORE AIR is a very special kind of weather protection fabric. It works like
the thatched roofs that we saw on our trip through Wales.
This means that although wind and rain cannot get in, a constant supply of fresh
air flows through the fabric. This is because the fabric incorporates millions of
tiny microfibrils (very fine fibre strands), similar to the reed stems on a thatched
roof. This creates gaps in the fabric, which allow the passage of air, while the
fabric itself remains waterproof and windproof.
This process of air exchange means that a jacket made from TEXAPORE AIR
becomes more breathable the more you move.

The key attribute of this new hiking jacket is the fact that it is not
only waterproof and breathable but air permeable, too. This means
that the breathability increases the more active the wearer is, since
each movement creates a pump effect that causes constant air exchange
to occur through the fabric – just the job for kids who prefer to run,
jump and bike around rather than just walk!
The new weather protection fabric, TEXAPORE AIR O 2+ TASLAN, is also
robust and light. In fact, the jacket weighs in at around 315 g in size 128,
making light work of tough walks in wet and windy weather.
Reflective detailing on the back and sleeves improves passive safety and
means the jacket is also highly suitable for daily wear.
