4. Thermal properties and glass stability; MDO 103<br />

Again these glasses were relatively stable and exhibited Tg around 281°C, 266°C, 296°C<br />

and 281°C for glasses MOD010 to MOD013 respectively. Crystallisation peaks can be<br />

seen at 343°C, 460°C and 389°C for glasses MOD011 to MOD013, respectively,<br />

resulting in Tx-Tg values of 77°C, 164°C and 108°C.<br />

Effect of WO3, Nb2O5 and Bi2O3<br />

Fig. (4.13) shows DTA traces for glasses MOD014 (90TeO2-5WO3-5Nb2O5 mol. %),<br />

MOD015 (82.5TeO2-7.5WO3-10Nb2O5 mol. %) and MOD016 (70TeO2-25WO3-5Bi2O3<br />

mol. %).<br />
